About Thames Valley Machinery

Thames Valley Machinery was set up by myself Mike Hampshire in 2002. I’d had many years in the Main dealer retail trade and felt there was new way in dealing with farmers used machinery in a simple and very cost effective way.

Thames Valley Machinery operates as a Farm Machinery Register providing a service that assists you to sell your Used Agriculture machinery that may be redundant or surplus to your requirement. It can be any size from a haybob to the biggest combine! All items stay on the client’s farm and are owned by them and prospective purchasers are invited to the farm for viewing and subsequent purchase.

Also, don’t forget when you have only been offered a "trade" price for your part exchange machine, I may be able to secure a higher price by finding you a retail customer.

Additionally, it also provides a service that helps you search for used machinery that you may want to buy. My considerable industry contacts enable me to search for machines in the Thames Valley Area and across the whole of England. Have a look at the wanted section.

Its main focus is in central Southern England, but also operates across the UK and Europe. It works on behalf and with the authority of the buyer/seller and charges a commission based on the value of the transaction, full details of which can be supplied on request.

When you make contact you come straight through to me.

I was brought up on a farm, trained as an engineer, then took up various sales roles before becoming General Manager for one of the largest NH dealers in central southern England. I had always wanted my own business and in 2002 I decided on a career change and Thames Valley Machinery was born.

Having dealt with farmers for nearly 40 years, you will find me very knowledgeable, efficient, caring and very personable and much focused on your needs.
